Your profile shows your story.

People want to know if you’d be a good person to work with and if you share their values. You'll want to know if you share their values too! It makes working together a lot easier.

Define your core values to create a brand.

Decide on a few words you want people to associate with you and your work.

Use this list if you need help finding ideas:

  1. Come up with words that describe what you value.
  2. Think of words that describe how you work.
  3. Think of words that describe your personality.

Choose your top 3 keywords and center your profile around them.

When someone comes to your profile, your keywords should come to mind. This doesn’t look like repeating them over and over again. The idea is that all your content always points to the definition of these words.

Find out more about yourself and building a brand will be easy.

  1. Do you know why you are doing this type of work? Figure this out before you begin.
  2. Use case studies to show how you put your values into your work.
  3. Use your about section to show your personal side and connect with clients.

A brand isn't just something like a logo, it’s how people describe you. Have a friend review your profile. Ask them what words they would use to describe it before you start sending it to clients.

An authentic brand is how you build trust. Your values create your brand, and that sets you apart from the competition. As you create your profile, check out writing to sell for more tips!
